As a Broker Associate at Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty in Point Loma, I represent both buyers and sellers of residential real estate properties throughout San Diego but I specialize in Point Loma. My goal is to take time to understand my client’s needs so I can create the best possible personal and financial result for them. I aspire to make the process of buying or selling a home a positive and worthwhile experience.

I have over 15 years of experience in sales and building client relationships. My early years were in sales and I started my real estate career in 2002 as a loan officer for Pulte Homes/ Pulte Mortgage, the nation’s largest home builder. After quickly transitioning to the new home sales team in San Diego, I spent the next six years as a top producer in all of Southern California, “Top Gun” member (top 5% achievers or 15,000 employees nationwide), as well as a Sales Manager for Pulte’s San Diego division.

My wife Allison and I are committed to building local community and business. Together, we own and operate The Bar Method in Point Loma’s Liberty Station. We spend our spare time with our two toddler boys, Jet and Cole. Both California natives, Mike and Allison believe there is no better place to raise a family, live, work, and play than San Diego.

Throughout my 15 years in sales and client relations, I have learned that people choose my services because we have built a trusted relationship. In real estate, my first priority is to help clients choose the right agent and a large part of the process is finding an agent you trust, relate to, and are confident can meet your needs. So let me tell you more about my personal and professional background.

I grew up in a small town called Mill Valley, CA (San Francisco Bay Area) nestled amongst redwood trees at the base of Mount Tam. I have two brothers, a twin and an older brother, both who now also live in San Diego with their wives and children. My best memories of childhood are exploring creeks, playing stickball and sports, camping, hiking, and riding dirt bikes with our friends and my dad in the mountains nearby. After high school, my brothers and I moved to Redding, CA to attend junior college and spend more time with our mom and step dad. When not in class or managing a local pizza store, we spent our time outdoors water skiing on Lake Shasta. After junior college, I headed to CSU Hayward and earned my degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing.

The start of my career in business began the day after college graduation. I had secured a sales position for a capital equipment finance company in Lake Tahoe, CA. As you can imagine the job and lifestyle were amazing. Little did I know at that time, but I would also meet my beautiful wife Allison, who was also in my sales training class. In the late nineties, we left Tahoe and headed to Silicon Valley to take advantage of the dot com boom. I continued to work in sales. We got married in 2002 and moved to Denver, Colorado where Allison would pursue her lifelong dream of an earning a MBA. We have fond memories of Denver for its outstanding recreation, “mid-west” hospitality, the start of my career in real estate working in the mortgage division of Pulte Homes, the nation’s largest home builder. Allison graduated and I had an opportunity to transfer to San Diego and work in sales for Pulte Homes. My brothers had recently relocated there, so we jumped at the opportunity to move, knowing we could raise our families in the same city.

We have test driven many neighborhoods in San Diego including Bankers Hill, University Heights, and Carlsbad trying to find our niche.  In 2008, over a decade of corporate grind coupled with the housing market collapse got the best of us, and we had an opportunity to open a promising business. We risked it all and invested in a franchise called The Bar Method. We opened in Liberty Station, Point Loma in 2008 and apparently the risk was meant to be because we immediately fell in love with Point Loma’s culture and community. We immediately knew we wanted to raise a family there because it reminded us of our hometowns where kids play in the street, you socialize with your neighbors, and most weekends are spent at baseball or soccer with all the other families.

We have two extremely active boys, Jet (4) and Cole (2) that currently attend a local Point Loma preschool down the street from our house. With the boys in school, it has enabled Allison to run The Bar Method alone and me to re-enter the world of real estate while still spending plenty of time with my family. I most recently joined Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty Point Loma because I wanted to work with an innovative and leading company in resale real estate and also represent my neighborhood. With the support of my family and friends, my real estate business has taken off and I feel very fortunate to have a beautiful wife, two healthy boys, two thriving businesses, all while living in beautiful Point Loma!
